VOLUNTEER SERVICE QUESTIONS!! :)?

my school just ended and i finally kinda got the volunteer job but i dont have the volunteer papers i really want to volunteer this summer and all i have is this hospital letter of reference that my guidance councelor gave me my question is how will they keep a record of my hours and how will they give my record to my school
