Why do many people in the western world find reincarnation impossible?

I have read this question posed recently and answered by 3 people . I believe strongly in reincarnation since I have had many experiences and dreams that I could not explain. I later read accounts of a past life that mirrored the dreams that I did have. Yes, I did remember past lives in dreams. A lot of people do have these kinds of experiences and many do not. Remember 1/2 the world does believe in reincarnation. I do not understand why the western world finds it unnatural. Is it not a wonderful concept that we are all immortal , that we do not really die (only physically) and then can get another chance to come back and do better each time. Why is that so hard for some people to believe. I really feel sorry for people who are afraid of death and think they only have just one shot at life. Please read IISIS.net.
