Faucet shank is not long enough. What to do?

Gosh, I'm no plumber but I have installed numerous faucets in my house.I am familiar with things they sell in plumbing departments,I worked in a Hardware/Tool store for almost thirty five years. What I was thinking (and this might not be the proper way,but would work) you could look for a 1 1/2 reducing bushing to extend it down far enough.Then get a nipple to connect to the bottom of that. Then hook the supply line up to the nipple. I don't remember what size that is off hand. You will need a larger jam nut to hold the faucet in place because the bushing will have larger threads. I hope my idea helps you. If not, oh well I tried! Before I forget, use teflon tape on the threaded parts to keep it from leaks. :)!!

Does this mean that most students generally have to teach themselves most of the concepts and the professor just goes over textbook examples on a power-point slide? If yes, is it possible I can teach myself most of the concepts of both linear algebra and calculus I over the summer, seeing as I would be doing just that any way when taking the course?

Regardless of which bit is more harsh, the best one to go with is the bit she seems to respond better to and seems happier in. If you are tired you are tired, someone has got to make a change for the better, and maybe it will be you, when your parents are old they may be to old and sick to move from place to place and no housing, education, you will be able to provide a place or shelter for them. As I stated someone has to think differently for the family to survive and have homes etc, education, health insurance. So good luck, you can do it, they may complain but when they see you doing okay they will be proud of you, you can show the younger generation that things are different and what you need to survive you can keep your cultural values at least some of them food, clothing etc.

Should I major in Bible Studies or Theology?

I'm working toward being a pastor, and I'm not sure as to whether to pick a Theology or Biblical Studies major. I'm actually going to be double majoring with Psychology, as I feel called to help those with mental illness, both as couselor and possibly researcher, eventually. I also think that there would be benefits to understanding psychology as a pastor. Anyway, I'm not entirely sure as to the differences between the two majors, which one would be preferable for a pastor, and which one would lead more easily to a Doctorate of Divinity which where I see myself ending up. Any advice or experiences from others who are either already pastors or those on their way to fufill their calling (especially those double majoring) would be appreciated.

Okay so I have this friend and she is 12 and I'm 15. She just copies EVERYTHING I do. I'm not the nicest person and can be mean. She is starting to act the same way. Now don't get me wrong it could have been a criminal intent episode but I remember that detective tutuola was talking to a black man in handcuffs and he was making idle threats as to the safety of his witness if he was in jail; that he wouldnt be able to protect her if he were in jail and couldn'tguarantee her safety. Why can you go any distance in a car while the Earth is spinning in the opposite direction?

My theory on this is that the whole earth is spinning and the car is connected to the Earth which in turn means everything about direction is relative. Dreams- Need help understanding whats going on.?

Please don't comment unless you have useful information about this subject. Everyone dreams, and people have a lot of different ones But mine are not your usual dreams. Ever since I was little I've noticed something weird happening when i would dream. I can control my dream, not the scenario or the plot or anything, but just like i can type right now because I want too, so too in the dream i could. Just like if it were real life I could maneuver, and do what i wanted to, go where i wanted to go. Not only that i could think logically, determine right from wrong, and so forth. I can not only see, and hear in my dreams but taste, smell, and even feel. I could feel everything, even pain. When these type of dreams occur it happens mostly the same way every time. I start off just like anyone else, your dream self goes and does what it wants with you having no control of it but then(and this is hard to explain), I sort of see myself in third person only for a brief moment before i go inside my body. I see a sort of clear and transparent barrier right before I enter inside my body, once I enter though I can realize it and know I'm their, I'll test it out by trying to control my movement and thoughts. After that I know I'm dreaming but I feel as if I'm awake. As the dream progresses I begin to forget what's real and what's not, so over the years I have came up with a way when for when I dream and some what tell. And it's a simple solution, I just use what I know from the awake self and say how or why it doesn't correlate to what is happening right now. But this isn't what scares me, it's the pain I feel. It feel just as real as if i were to happen in the real world or my awake self. So i have been trying to suppress my dreaming. Now for those of you who don't know you dream every night but you don't remember every dream, some nights you don't remember any. So that's what I mean by suppressing my dreams, I'm just making it to where I don't remember them cause they were not a big enough dream, by doing that I don't have time to be inside my dream. However lately, when I do dream it's getting harder and harder to wake up. Nothing that you would normally do to wake yourself up works. In order for me to wake up, I have to find specific spots in my dream so i can wake up. But the spots are random and I never know where to go, and when I have nightmare it is worst. Someone shaking me and my alarm clock going doesn't always wake me anymore, and I'm getting enough sleep, it only happens when i dream and I'm able to control it. I just need some help. Tears: Bad Loss or Good Loss; A Biological Question?

Well socially it's a very subjective matter, we all have heard that girls cry, and guys never cry. Looking at crying biologically it has been tested and is said to actually be better to cry than to hold tears in. The main studies i have heard of say that holding in emotional tears puts a great amount of stress on the brain, which is important to the body because if we were to hold back emotions it could be bad because our body functions act on emotions, things such as our breathing, and our heart rate and both affected by emotions so if you were to let those emotions out by crying it could possibly be better for your heart, but as far as all the chemicals go i dont think it makes much of a difference. Removing toxic substances by crying doesn't seem like an efficient enough way to remove enough of it from the body to make much of a difference, you would probably get better results by sweating and removing them that way. My conclusion is sure cry every once in a while if you feel the need to, but don't think of it as something good loss or bad loss for your body because it really doesnt make too much of a difference (as you will probably gain those toxic substances again from natural body processes) crying wont do much other than helping your brain release a strong emotional state.

First of all, you should not be on pointe if you sickle. You WILL injure yourself! Unless you have really strong feet (not ankles) a soft shank won't be good for you. But overall, you just have to be fitted. Go to a professional fitter and talk to them and your teacher about it. What is the difference between a low-ported curb bit and a wide-ported curb bit?

Ok, so there are a few differences that i see in these. The first is on the wide ports the middle arch is wider and lower than the low ports. The low ports are way higher in the middle. Also, you can see in each of these pictures, when you clip the reigns on, they are each going to have a different pull on the horse's mouth. The first (the low port) is just going to rock back and forth in the horse's mouth. The second one (the first wide port) Is going to have a little bit more affect on the sides of the mouth. And the last one, well it seems the harsher of the three. It has a place for a curb strap to go, and the way that its angled, if you want the curb strap to say something instead of just sit there like they do on some bits.... it will! Also it will give you more control than the others. If your looking for something to just switch into for a little while to give your horse the experience, i would use either the first one (the low port) or the second (the first wide port). Help! Copycat friend?

Okay so I have this friend and she is 12 and I'm 15. She just copies EVERYTHING I do. I'm not the nicest person and can be mean. She is starting to act the same way. Email etiquette regarding research collaboration?

I am a graduate student who is seeking to collaborate with a researcher outside of my university in addition to my senior supervisor at my university for my dissertation. I have worked with this other researcher outside of my university in the capacity as a research assistant for a couple of years. I recently sent him, along with his colleague with whom I am also familiar, an email regarding the possibility of collaborating for my dissertation. This email was sent 10 days ago and I still have not received a response regarding whether or not either of them would be interested in being on my dissertation committee. What is the etiquette here regarding how long I should rate for a response? Is it okay to send a follow-up email at some point if I do not receive a response, or should I consider the no response to indicate that they are not interested in being involved? If I should send a follow-up email what should it say? Any advice is appreciated.

Why you publishing false informeation about Leroy Mendonca?

My Wife is Leroy's niece (MOH) Wikipedia was publishing the false information that Leroy was Filipino. US Army and Congress had Wikipedia corect the infromation. It is now correct that Leroy was 100% Portuguese. Absoluteastronomy.com continues to print the false information about Leroy. I have tried to contract them with no luck. I just found out that I got rejected from all of them, due to my low GPA! I have excellent critical thinking, research, and writing skills. I believe that I could do much better in graduate school than in undergrad. I am so depressed about being rejected. I don't know how to deal with the fact that grad school is not for me. Should I kill myself?

Let them feel that it is a business decision and not a personal decision.

What type of bit should i ride in?

for western classes i ride with a short shank tom thumb, my horse is neck reined so it is not like i am pulling on her mouth for her to turn and i barely have to touch the rein for her to stop. But I have been riding in a normal D ring bit for english but she doesn't respond to it only when i am going in a straight line. In my equitation pattern class we were doing fine until I had to stop her. she kept trotting to the out gate before she finally stopped. Pointe shoe problems. Ballet?

I've been on pointe for about two years now. I had blotch serenades (regular shank) and I only wore them four times for an hour.I tried the harder shank but the box is extremely uncomfortable ( I know pointe shoes aren't supposed to be comfy but they hurt so bad my toes started bleeding :/. ) I just got Russian points and I'm afraid that they're gonna wear out quickly!! Pointe competition help?

I have my nationals competition the week after next and my pointe shoes are dead so I need to order some new ones. The type I currently get (Grishko Elite size 6 x hard shank, they have a wide platform), I am used to very much and have been using that type for 6 years, but they do not support my foot type that well, and they look awkward on my feet (Very high arch, long toes/foot, thin). I saw some pointe shoes that seem that they would work a lot better with my feet and support them (Grishko Maya size 6 xx 3/4 hard shank, they have a medium platform). I have no problem breaking in pointe shoes (Only takes 1/2 hr for me) but I am worried about getting used to them in a week. I need to order them by phone tomorrow morning to get them ASAP so I have no time to talk to my ballet instructor about it. What are your guys' opinions on the subject?

How to use high shank presser feet on low shank sewing machine?

I have many amazing high shank presser feet that I found in my mom's sewing table that dates back about a century or so ago because they belonged to my great (or great great) grandmother. I was excited to use them until I found out that they won't fit on my low shank Singer Ingenuity sewing machine. I can only find adapters for high shank sewing machines to use low shank presser feet. Is there a way to use these high shank presser feets on my low shank sewing machine?

Okay, the other day i decided to give the mike austin method a try. What kind of Grishko Pointe shoes should I get?

I was interested in Grishko for pointe shoes and, as a guide, was wondering what style to get. I have a medium profiled, medium arched, 25-25.5cm in size, and somewhat tapered foot. I also need to be able to easily get up on the box and easily roll through demi-pointe to pointe. I would also like the shoe, if possible, to highlight my medium arch (dreaming of a nice arch one day, still working on it!). So what style/size/hardness of shank should I get? Thanks for the help!
